Pacific Coast Mestieri - Celebrating Fine Art and Fun Crafts!

Pacific Coast Mestieri (PCM) was formed to support individual artists, craft artisans, and art organizations in California, initially with a focus on the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2006 during our first year we were known as The Pleasanton Craft Mafia and our group is tremendously appreciative of the support and association with the incredible Craft Mafia family at large.  In the summer of 2007 we formally merged with the art group variaZioNE (ZNE) and changed our name to Pacific Coast Mestieri to better reflect the geographic diversity of our members and activities.  (Mestieri, roughly translated from Italian - means "craft.")  As with the incredible artistic community found in California, we are a diverse group open to all artforms and artist skill levels. If you are a supporter of the arts in California, we THANK YOU ~ and if you are an artist of any calibur ~ we invite you to JOIN US! Our Mission: PCM is pleased to share our mission statement: Pacific Coast Mestieri is comprised of independent arts related business owners and artists with an interest in expanding their small business skills.  Our group exists to provide mutual support, expanded show and sales opportunities, and continuing skills enhancement in the areas of the arts and small business management.  We accomplish our goals by Featuring Member Businesses on our website and blog.  Proactively promoting our individual and combined talents in the local and national media. Organize, participate in, and negotiate reduced fees for participation in local craft markets and arts fairs.  Providing a non competive community of support and inclusion for all our members and the local craft market. Sharing the skills and expertise of the experienced artisan members with those who are new to marketing their products. History Pacific Coast Mestieri was originally founded as the Pleasanton Craft Mafia, in the summer of 2006 by Pleasanton Artist Craftster Entrepeneur ~ Chelise Stroud Hery. Chelise is a professional artist whose work has been featured in Northern California galleries and numerous online art galleries.  Her medium is mixed media, collage and altered art work ~ including jewelry.  Her art can be found in collections across the world.  Chelise is also the owner and founder of the PCM parent group, ZNE.
