SPECIFIC DETAILS AND TIPS FOR PARTICIPATING
We’d love to have Cercles D’Ame be an ongoing, fulfilling, and inspiring opportunity for any ZNE member who wishes to participate. The same rules of etiquette that apply to the ZNE website discussion boards will apply to our interactions and general consideration of other participants is expected.
Once you have signed up for the project please feel free to contact Laurie, the project coordinator - at any time. We want your experience to be a positive one. Communication will play a key part in ensuring that everyone has a great experience.
January Cercles D'Ame Schedule
- January 12th receive names and addresses and phone numbers and email of your group members – now is the time to register any restrictions you may have on postage – please be reasonable.
- January 15th begin work on your book; cover and 2 pages or cover and 1 page. This is the book you will be getting back at the end to keep.
- January 26th: mail out your book! Please keep to the schedule; if you are having trouble finishing your pages at this first mailing – mail it out anyway! As long as the size and binding allowance are set, you can finish work on your cover and pages when you get it back.
- January 30th or 31st: receive next book in mail and begin work on the pages for it. You may pick some different things you love about life or continue with what you started in your book.
- February 9th: Mail book out to next person! No Matter What. Life happens, everyone gets sidetracked by it from time to time. If you haven’t completed your pages and need a couple more days you can mail them separately to the next person the following week. Please keep to the schedule. If you think that working on these pages will interfere with the timeline of getting the next book off by February 23rd, please contact this book’s originator and work out an alternative schedule.

Additional Tips / Considerations
Remember to consider the cost of shipping for your group members when deciding on the size. Something that is 21” long by 16” wide may be too difficult and expensive to put through the mail. And if you have some limitations in that area, please let your group or the moderator know.
Please consider the type of binding being used when working on other people’s books, if you’re going to be embellishing with ½” thick items then don’t put those items right next to the edge where someone has said they will be stitching the binding, if they are using the aforementioned binder ring option, thick pages should be no problem.
Remember that you will have aproximately two weeks to complete and ship your pages to the next participant, each time you receive a set of pages.
Don’t stop participating if you’re a little behind. This is supposed to be fun – not a hardship. The most important thing is to be in contact with your group members and/or Laurie, the project Coordinator.
On the flip side of the above, if you’re on fire and want to do more pages in someone’s book – go for it. I’m sure no one will complain about a few extra pages. You may do extra pages at any time.
If you feel really boxed in, please call the Laurie at any time to ask for help or pose a question – or even if you don’t feel really boxed in, maybe just moderately challenged. She wants to help in any way she can.
Consider including a note about what you have done or what your intentions were when working on the pages – or about whatever you want - as a way of communicating with your group – we will also have a discussion board set up on the ZNE main website Supporting Member Discussion Forums.
