In Memoriam:

Petra Wilkinson,

fondly known as Ms. Delaise

Rust Goddess

ZNE was honored to have the artist known to many as "Ms Delaise," Petra Wilkinson, as a longtime member of our group.  We were greatly saddened to learn of her passing (on October 25, 2008).  Our prayers go out to Petra's husband Steve, her grown children and cherished grandchildren.

Petra was an inspirational and talented artist and many artists benefitted from the generous art and image collections that she shared with us through her website - Enchanted Mercantile.

As we bid farewell to our friend, we encourage you to share your thoughts and memories regarding Petra, here - via our guestbook.  We will let Petra's family know that this forum exists so that they may see our thoughts and prayers whenever they wish.

Petra was a dear friend. We met in Kansas City, where she spent many hours honing her skills and helping others. While living in my home, Petra touched me and my family beyond comprehension. I lost touch with Petra over one year ago, and I am now very sad to hear of her passing. Steve, you have my blessings, as she thought the world of you and told me so each and every time we spoke. May God Bless you and Petra's Family. She will be missed.

I am amazed and touched by the outpouring of love and remembrances for my sister Petra. She was truly a free spirit and had an artist's soul. She was creative in many areas, but I do believe she was especially proud of Enchanted Mercantile and her work there. It gives us great comfort to know she is remembered so beautifully by so many.

The world is a darker place without Petra and her beautiful art. I know that she is in a better place and I'm sure she was welcomed there with open arms.

A beautiful soul spent time on this earth and now has been called home even though we all felt it wasn't her time. But God often has other plans for us and calls us when we are needed by him. And I'm sure God has great plans for Petra for she enriched so many here on earth. My condolences and prayers to her family.

To Petra's family, With deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear one. Know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Petra's site was the first downloadable art images I ever used...it also remained my favorite site that I came back to often. She was a special lady and will be very much missed. Blessings, SallyAnn
